300 Huntington Street Update 12/30/22

$42.5M Issued for Waterfront Commercial Project in Gowanus

Developer and general contractor, Monadnock Construction, has received a $42.5 million loan for a 6-story commercial project, set to rise at 300 Huntington Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Issued by Wells Fargo, this will be used to fund all construction costs from the ground up.

To be located on the Gowanus Canal waterfront, the structure will contain 80,219 square feet of office space, 12,288 square feet of retail, and almost 3,500 square feet of dedicated manufacturing space.

At over 7,500 square feet, the outdoor waterfront area will consist of a walkway and a paved plaza. Envisioned by SCAPE Landscape Architecture, it will feature seating areas and various green spaces.

Altogether, 300 Huntington Street will total square feet, with both Bernheimer Architecture and Dattner Architects having a hand in the design process. Construction is estimated to take approximately two years, with work concluding in 2024.

The project site is currently vacant and unimproved, so no demolition will be required before the build commences.
