49-Story Tower Continues to Rise in Fort Greene
Subcontractor, Highbury Concrete, has shared updated footage of the superstructure formation progress for a 49-story, residential tower project, going up at 98 DeKalb Avenue (180 Ashland Place) in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
Developed and contracted in-house by , the structure is set to contain rental apartments and square feet of commercial space. This would likely come in the form of ground-floor retail. The abnormally shaped lot previously contained a parking facility with entrances on both Ashland Place and DeKalb Avenue. The tower will maintain entrances on both streets, and the podium will wrap around what appears to be a holdout property.
Designed by , the new development will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction began in late 2022 and work will likely conclude during the fall of 2025. Detailed renderings have still not been released for the tower yet, but we expect to see better depictions become available as work progresses.
