Foundation Work Underway at 43-14 Queens Street

Foundation construction is beginning to wrap up at 43-14 Queens Street in Long Island City, Queens before superstructure pours commence on the 19-story, residential project, that will soon rise at the site.

At this time, the underpinning and basement walls have been formed, and steel rebar has been set. Temporary shoring is also being assembled now in preparation for vertical construction.

Developed and constructed in-house by , the structure is set to contain rental apartments. Plans also call for square feet of retail space, which will be located on the ground floor.

The square foot project site spans what was previously 3-separate lots.

To create the assemblage, Rockrose shelled out $26 million in 2019 for 27-34 Jackson Avenue, and an additional $13 million in 2020 for the neighboring properties at 43-12 and 43-14 Queens Street.

Designed by , the new development will stand feet tall and total square feet. Construction is estimated to finish by the Spring of 2025.
