55 Suffolk Street Tops Out in Lower Manhattan

General contractor, Monadnock Construction Inc, has added the 30th and final floor to 55 Suffolk Street, thus topping out the large mixed-use development on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Developed by , the building is set to contain  residential units (25% affordable), and a 39,000 square foot office headquarters for the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC). It will also have  square feet of retail space on the ground floor.

Designed by , the structure now stands feet tall and will total square feet when fully complete. This project is one of two buildings going up as part of the CPC's Broom Street Development Plan; the other being 64 Norfolk Street. Construction is estimated to cost $235 million, and work is expected to finish in July of 2023.
