Affordable Housing Lottery Kicks Off for 280 Meeker Avenue
NYC Housing Connect has started an affordable housing lottery encompassing 21 units within a new, 8-story residential building, located at 280 Meeker Avenue in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. Eligible applicants must earn between $100,252 and $198,250 annually, or sit at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI). Applications will be accepted either online or by mail until October 24, 2023.
Developed by , the building will contain rental apartments in total, as well as 436 square feet of community facility space. Plans also call for an enclosed parking garage, with enough room for vehicles.
The irregularly shaped project site spans square feet. Part of a zoning assemblage encompassing what was once 5-separate lots, it sat vacant for several years prior to this new development.
Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. is serving as the general contractor for the project and work is expected to take until the summer of 2024.
