American Copper Buildings Scooped Up for $850M

A pair of residential skyscrapers at 626 1st Avenue in Manhattan's Murray Hill neighborhood have just traded hands for $850 million. Known as, The American Copper Buildings, the 48 and 41 story towers were sold by their developer,  to NYC-based investment firm, Black Spruce Management. Designed by , and completed in 2017, the two buildings total  square feet, containing luxury apartment units.

They offer approximately 60,000 square feet of amenities, with every facility you can imagine.  Some of the highlights include a 75-foot long indoor pool, a fitness center with a climbing wall, a private spa with treatment rooms, a yoga studio, a child’s playroom, a juice bar, a catering kitchen, and several lounges.

The American Copper Buildings also have underground parking, square feet of retail space, and most importantly for tenants; phenomenal views of the East River. This major transaction between JDS and Black Spruce is currently under contract, and full ownership is expected to be transferred within the next coming months.
