Borough President Finished Reviewing Innovation QNS
The Borough President has finished reviewing an application for a proposed megaproject, known as Innovation QNS; a massive mixed-use development that would span 5-blocks in Astoria, Queens. A final Environmental Impact Statement has also just been filed. Submitted by Bedrock Real Estate Partners and Silverstein Properties, under the name Kaufman Bedrock Astoria I LLC, the application requests zoning text amendments, and Large-Scale General Development special permits for bulk modifications. If ultimately approved, Innovation QNS would consist of 12 new buildings, which would bring a total of 2,800 housing units to the area.
