Building Permit Filed for Office Tower in Midtown Tampa
A building permit has been filed with the City of Tampa for a new office tower in Midtown Tampa. The 17-story property will contain over 450,000 square feet with a 5,925 square foot penthouse on the top floor. Midtown Tampa East tower is the latest addition to Midtown Tampa. Comprised of roughly 22 acres, the Midtown Tampa Development opened in March 2021 creating a new residential and commercial district, uniting Downtown Tampa and the Westshore Business District. Located only four miles from Tampa International Airport the site has excellent visibility and connectivity, situated southeast of Interstate 275 bordering Dale Mabry Highway, Cypress Street, and Himes Avenue. These major commercial thoroughfares are known as “Main and Main” within the community. All interior roads are private which is perfect for outdoor concerts and events. Groundbreaking is expected by the end of 2022 with completion anticipated by the end of 2024.
