BXP Planning Renovations to 901 New York Ave.
Boston Properties is planning renovations to the roughly 540,000-square-foot office building located at 901 New York Ave. NW. The 11-story property was originally developed in 2005. Now Boston Properties is planning to revise the building entrances along New York Avenue and K Street, NW, including refinements to building signage, to redesign a small portion of the ground-floor façade adjacent to the New York Avenue entrance, and to incorporate two “sky garden” terraces, one on the 10th floor facing New York Avenue and one on the 11th floor facing K Street.
On January 8, 2024, BXP completed the acquisition of its joint venture partner’s 50% economic ownership interest in the property for a purchase price of $10.0 million. Subsequent to closing, BXP extended the 214,000 square foot lease with anchor client, Finnegan Henderson Farabow Garrett & Dunner, L.L.P., through 2042.
