Catholic University Proposes Temporary Student Housing

The Catholic University of America has filed to modify its Campus Plan to allow for the construction of temporary housing on its Main Campus at Curley Court. Curley Court was formerly improved with 26 prefabricated modular units that provided temporary housing for approximately 100 students. The approved Campus Plan calls for a new 3-story dorm on this site however the university is now proposing temporary housing to meet enrollment needs. The proposed project would provide prefabricated temporary modular student housing units with approximately 125 beds for students and resident advisors (“RA’s”). Nineteen, one story, two- bedroom units, will provide approximately 75 beds. Two, one story buildings, with 12 bedrooms in each will provide approximately 50 beds. This residential complex has been designed to form a small village.
