Construction Underway at Commonwealth Pier
Construction has officially begun at Commonwealth Pier on the World Trade Center. Pembroke Real Estate began demolition work on Commonwealth Hall back in August to free up 170,0000 square feet of new outdoor space, first reported by BLDUP.
"We are thrilled to start construction and begin to realize our vision for the new Commonwealth Pier, a project that furthers Pembroke and Fidelity’s vision for, and commitment to, Boston’s Seaport District,” said Pembroke Real Estate President Edward Johnson IV.
The project will create 45,000 SF of new space for retail as well as updates to the surrounding harborwalk.
