450 Eleventh Avenue Update 09/08/23

Facade Work Continues for Hudson Yards Hotel Tower

General contractor, , is about mid-way through the process of installing glass curtainwall panels at 450 Eleventh Avenue; a topped-out, 51-story hotel tower, going up in Manhattan's Hudson Yards district.

As we mentioned in our previous update, if you look at the raw superstructure from some angles, you'll notice that the edges of each floor have been molded in slightly varying and uneven shapes in order to sculpt the mounting surfaces for the ripple-style facade. The installation has been a lengthy process so far, and this intricate curtainwall design is likely the reason why.

Developed by , the tower is set to become an Aloft-branded hotel, featuring rooms. The hotel will include a rooftop terrace, business facilities, a bar & restaurant, and a ballroom. Situated directly across the street from the Javitz Center, and two blocks from the Hudson Yards mega-development, this location will likely be marketed towards business travelers and convention-goers.

Designed by , the in-house architectural firm for , the tower stands feet tall and totals square feet. Build costs are expected to reach $368 million upon completion and work is expected to wrap up sometime in 2024.
