55 Suffolk Street Update 09/01/22

Facade Work Wrapping Up at 55 Suffolk Street

General contractor, Monadnock Construction Inc, is currently wrapping up facade work on a large, mixed-use development, at 55 Suffolk Street on Manhattan's Lower East Side.

Developed by , the 30-story building is set to contain  residential units (25% affordable), and a 39,000 square foot office headquarters for the Chinese-American Planning Council (CPC). Plans also call for square feet of retail space, located on the ground floor.

Designed by , the topped out structure stands feet tall and totals square feet. This project is one of two buildings going up as part of the CPC's Broom Street Development Plan; the other being 64 Norfolk Street. Construction is estimated to cost $235 million, and work is expected to finish in July of 2023.
