Gowanus Development Site Trades for $13.47M

A 1-story garage building at 239 Nevins Street in Brooklyn's Gowanus neighborhood has just been sold for $13.47 million. The structure was purchased by Tavros Capital from previous owner, Atkins & Breskin in a deal brokered by CBRE. Dating back to 1931, the building contains garage parking and warehouse space and totals 10,000 square feet. Tavros bought the property as a development site, and the building is slated for demolition. At 10,000 square feet, the lot offers 86,465 square feet of buildable square footage; which is over eight times the size of the existing structure. As of yet, specific plans for redevelopment have not been announced.
