79 Quay Street Update 12/27/21

Greenpoint Mixed-Use Development Receives Approval

An application for a mixed-use development at 79 Quay Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn has finally been granted approval. Submitted by Quay Plaza LLC, the application requested zoning map and text amendments to facilitate the construction of a 9-story mixed-use building. Developed by Henry Einhorn, it will total 119,000 square feet, with 83 residential units, and 13,500 square feet of retail space. It will also contain 20 affordable units and 29 parking spaces. A few weeks ago, the City Council gave their approval with all members voting in favor of the project. The application was then sent to the NYC Mayor's Office and was given the green light. The developer will now be able to file for building permits and get the build process rolling.
