Corindus to Sign 63K SF Lease at Riverside Station

Mark Development has announced Corindus, a subsidiary of Siemens, has signed a lease for the planned 63,000 SF lab space at Riverside Station.

Plans for the 653,400 SF area around the Riverside MBTA commuter line have been altered, with a reduction in residential units from 582 to 550 (while increasing affordable units from 102 to 110) and the elimination of the 77K SF hotel. In its place, Mark Development will include a 63,000 SF life science research building, adding a total of 100,000 SF of space to building 2.

"We shifted a portion of the height to building two without adding additional floors as a byproduct of the floor-to-floor height of lab life science being higher than hospitality," said Damien Chaviano, Principal of Mark Development.

The approved mixed-use development at Riverside Station in Newton would include 10 buildings in total.
