Map Amendment Filed to Rezone Michigan Ave. Site
The owners of the property at 701 Michigan Ave. NE have filed a map amendment to rezone the property from MU-3A to MU-2. The roughly 19,000-square-foot site is located just 275 feet from the Brookland-CUA Metrorail station. The applicant is pursuing the proposed Zoning Map amendment in anticipation of redeveloping the site with a mixed-use project. In the interim, the owners intend to establish a daycare use within the existing building to activate the site while it pursues the subject rezoning.
