East Boston continues to be one of the city’s hottest neighborhoods for multifamily development. Diverse dining options, scenic waterfront parks, and easy access to transit continue to draw both buyers and renters to the area with the population growing by 17% from 2000 to 2015, faster than the city’s growth of 10% over the same time period. Property values have also skyrocketed, with PropertyShark reporting a 120% increase in East Boston home prices between 2009 & 2021. Now with construction underway on Boston’s largest-ever development, Suffolk Downs, the neighborhood is only going to continue to grow exponentially. Along with the 10,000 units planned for the Suffolk Downs site, there are over 900 multifamily units currently under construction in East Boston with another 900+ units planned in the pipeline. As the Peacock Properties Team continues to monitor the growth and changes to Eastie from our nearby office in Charlestown, we do not expect this wave of housing development to slow especially as the Suffolk Downs development begins to come to life over the next 5,10,15 years.

Recently completed The Mark at DeNormandie Wharf offers 107 modern waterfront homes. The luxurious residences offer expansive windows complementing a tastefully selected palette of materials and finishes. Residences are currently priced from just under 500K to over $2M.
The Pacer, which opened this past summer, is located steps from Suffolk Downs and offers one, two, three, and four-bedroom residences with prices starting in the 400Ks. The building is fully amenitized and features a penthouse resident lounge with a roof terrace, fitness center, garage parking, and bike storage.
Under construction now, with presales underway, ebo condos will offer 49 residences featuring luxury vinyl plank, porcelain tile flooring, stainless steel appliances, and quartz countertops, with many offering private outdoor balconies.
