New Mixed-Use Development Planned in Estero

South Carolina based developer Woodfield Development has plans for a proposed mixed-use development in Estero that would bring 596 residential units along with a hotel, retail, restaurants, office, and commercial space. Woodfield Estero is planned on a 45.6-acre site at the northwest corner of U.S. 41 and Coconut Road. The community is designed to be a walking community, with plans for open spaces and a linear public space going through the middle of the development, a large central green space with a stage for public events and a civic building. Additionally, the community will feature a neighborhood park with space for exercise equipment and playgrounds along with two retention lakes. A pedestrian street leasing into the central green, will serve as a restaurant row that will be the location of most of the dining and entertainment venues. The residential units will be a combination of multifamily and townhouses. The project will consist of four phases, the first phase will involve the construction of the majority of nonresidential components. Rowhomes, a three-story apartment building, a mixed-use office building and parking garage will comprise phase two. Phase three will include rowhomes, a residential clubhouse and the civic building. The final phase will involve constructing 182 apartments, 12 townhomes, and stacked flats.
