One Madison Tops Out in the Flatiron District
Steel erecting company, NYC Constructors LLC, has shared new photos of the topped-out superstructure at One Madison Avenue in Manhattan's Flatiron District. This officially marks the end of the climb for a major vertical expansion that has added 19 stories to the existing 8-story podium.
According to NYC Constructors, Banker Steel Company fabricated 4,500 tons of high-strength steel for the project.
In addition to office space, the expansion will add approximately 1.2 acres of landscaped, outdoor terrace spaces. Down below, the building will receive square feet of retail and restaurant space, 12,700 square feet of private event areas, a tenant club, an artisanal market, and a fitness club, spanning 3-stories.
With vertical progress now complete, construction is estimated to finish by the end of 2023. JLL is handling the marketing for One Madison and has already landed a deal with IBM for the lease of 5-full floors within the new tower.
