Penthouse Addition Proposed for Downtown DC Office
Plans are under review for a roughly 500-square-foot penthouse addition to the office property at 801 17th Street, NW. The 300,000+ square foot, 11-story office building was constructed in 2009. Along with the addition the project will provide rooftop improvements, including a bar, rooftop terrace, and lounge space, to provide a better rooftop experience for the office tenants. Per the filing, "the outdoor space is increasingly important in the post-pandemic world and these rooftop upgrades will help the building meet market standards."
