Permits Filed for 17-Story Residential Building in Carnegie Hill

Building permits have been filed for a 17-story, mixed-use development, at 171 East 86th Street in Manhattan's Carnegie Hill neighborhood. Developed by , the building will contain residential units (likely condos) and square feet of ground-floor retail space. Plans also call for a cellar and a sub-cellar.

Designed by , the structure will stand feet tall and total square feet. An existing, single-story commercial building, will have to be demolished in order to make way for the new development. The old building is notable for containing the historic, "Papaya King" hot dog and tropical drink shop, from 1932 to 2022.
