West End Alexandria Update 10/13/22

Plans Unveiled for West End - Landmark Mall Site 

As the site is nearly demolished, plans have been elaborated on the redevelopment of Landmark Mall in Alexandria.

A spokesperson for Foulger-Pratt shared plans last week at the Eisenhower West Landmark Van Dorn Implementation Advisory Group for the plans for the site. 

The developers said that the first four buildings to come online, E1, E2, G and Eye on the map above are will be the first to come online.

Blocks E and G will be a part of a new housing development called Aspect. The two buildings will have a total of 390 units and be connected via a pedestrian pathway. 

Block Eye is the Brighly, another 390 units with a large retail space on the ground floor for a gym or large store. 

Blocks M and L2 are slated to become townhomes, with construction set to begin in 2023. 

Block L1 will be senior housing. 

Block K will be named "Thrive" and will be the center the development, with a "neo-industrial" theme, it is expected to house another 337 units and 30,000 sq. ft. of retail. 

Block J will be dedicated to affordable housing. 

Block D will be a future multifamily project.

Block H will be split between a hotel and condominiums. 

Blocks J through D have yet to begin the application process.
