Progress Being Made on Brooklyn Housing Development
Work at 50 Nevins Street continues as the building is seen completely covered in scaffolding. The future affordable housing building in Downtown Brooklyn is being constructed by Mega Contracting Group, and developed by the Institute For Community Living. The building's unique shape is the work of Dattner Architects.
Upon completion, 50 Nevins Street will add 129 affordable apartments to the existing building for a total of 195 units. Construction for the 113,977 sqft. building is expected to cost approximately $72 million.
