Proposed Downtown St. Petersburg Mixed-Use Tower Will Be Reviewed July 12
The St. Petersburg Development Review Commission will review plans for a mixed-use tower in downtown St. Petersburg at the commission’s July 12 meeting. Developers Ally Capital, working alongside the Kolter Group, have filed revised plans for a new mixed-use tower that will soar above a prominent parcel in downtown St. Petersburg. The revised plans call for a 28-story apartment building on 3rd Avenue North and 2nd Street North, across the street from the Sun Dial St. Pete. The new plans are revised from the initial proposal from the developer, which was withdrawn, that called for a 35-story tower. The new proposal includes 327 apartments and a 325-space parking garage. The garage will occupy the first seven floors topped by an eighth-floor amenity deck. The ground floor would feature 7,850 square feet of retail space along with a residential lobby and lounge. The 28th floor would offer more amenity space along with a rooftop pool. The apartment tower is adjacent to the proposed Tempo by Hilton hotel. The existing buildings on the site will be demolished.
