Redevelopment of the Former Site of the Bainbridge Naval Training Center Underway
Governor Larry Hogan announced today that construction has officially begun at the 1,200 acre site, formerly the U.S. Bainbridge Naval Training Center, into re-use opportunities which would maximize the economic contribution from the re-development. Located in Cecil County, MD, the property boasts strategic placement right off Interstate 95, providing easy access to the heart of the East Coast’s transportation network and several large ports. Port Deposit is centrally located between Baltimore and Philadelphia, offering access to 1/3 of the US population within an overnight drive.
The site plan allows for future expansion.
