RFP Released for Vacant Lot in Providence Innovation District
The Providence Innovation and Design District has released a request for proposal for a 47,045 SF lot in Providence. Designated "Parcel 2", the lot - formerly occupied by Interstate-195 - sits in a highly desirable corridor between South Main and Water streets on Providence's East Side at the foot of the Michael S. Van Leesten Pedestrian Bridge.
The site is zoned for development up to 223,000 SF of mixed-use/residential space with a 30-foot utility easement. The designated developer and design will be announced in August.
