Royal Caribbean Breaks Ground on Campus Expansion

We have officially broken ground on our new campus expansion – laying the foundation for our future growth and representing a symbol of innovation and our deep-rooted connection and commitment to the vibrant Miami-Dade community. From our humble beginnings in 1969 in a small trailer with one ship, to our global fleet of 65 ships today, including the newly launched Icon of the Seas, Port Miami holds a very special place in our hearts. Building upon this rich history, our new corporate campus will stand as a testament to our unwavering commitment to our hometown, which has been our inspiration and our anchor for 55 years. The 10-story, 380,000-square foot building will rise on the site of a current parking lot between two of Royal Caribbean’s corporate buildings. The new building will include amenities such an auditorium, training rooms and two cafeterias along with an executive suite and event space on the upper floors. The development also includes converting asphalt parking lots into green space with walking paths. A new 1,450-vehicle parking garage will also be constructed with a basketball court, soccer field and running track on the roof.
