Society for Science & The Public Planning Renovations to Chinatown Office
The Society for Science & the Public, the contract purchaser of the property located at 800 8th Street NW has submitted plans for the renovation of the Gallery Center in Chinatown. The property is currently used by Hillel as office space, with a museum on the ground level. The Society for Science & The Public proposes to renovate and modernize the existing building for its use as office space. The project will entail a new interior fit-out, replacement of the building’s outdated systems, and a potential façade remodeling. The application also seeks to convert the existing P1 Level into usable office space and create a new internal connection between the ground level and the P1 Level.
