Tahitian Inn Boutique Hotel in Tampa Sells for $10 Million

Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of the Tahitian Inn Boutique Hotel, an 82-room hotel, located directly off South Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida. The two- and three-story property sold for $10 million. The inn has been family owned and operated since it opened in 1952; this is the first time it has traded in 7 decades.

“The sellers are the original developers who have kept this property in their family for over 70 years,” said Ely Silverstein. “Our long-term relationship with the sellers allowed us to advise them on market timing and to choose a buyer who shares a similar long-term vision for the property. Our team generated interest from hoteliers, developers, and investors, which enabled us to get this Tampa legacy hotel sold at the full purchase price.”

Silverstein, Gabriel Shamay, and Christopher Passeggiata, investment specialists in Marcus and Millichap’s Fort Lauderdale office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the Tampa-based seller. The buyer was also procured by Silverstein, Shamay and Passeggiata.

The 36,600-square-foot property is situated on a 1.76-acre lot. Property amenities include an onsite Tiki-torch bar, resort-style heated swimming pool with private cabanas, private event space, business center, complimentary shuttle service, fitness center, and steam rooms.

Tahitian Inn Boutique Hotel is located at 601 South Dale Mabry Highway in Tampa, Florida. The asset sits directly off U.S. Route 92, just minutes from Downtown Tampa, International Plaza, Westshore Plaza, Tampa International Airport, University of Tampa, and Raymond James Stadium.
