Takoma Metro Development Advances
After extensive discussion, the DC Zoning Board has taken final action to approve the Consolidated PUD & Related Map Amendment for the Takoma Metro Development. The project will include over 400 residential units with 15% (approximately 70 units) at affordable rents. Plans also include approximately 17,000 square feet of retail which will unite the existing retail corridor that spans Takoma. The development will also create 1.8 acres of public open space to include a vibrant retail plaza, an active green space with seating and focal features, and a shared-use path for pedestrians and cyclists.
