Updated Plans Presented for 1.6M SF South Boston Project: Residential Units Increased

Core Investments has filed updated plans for the proposed On the Dot mixed-use project in South Boston. As part of the changes, the project’s maximum height has been reduced from 17 stories to 13 stories and the overall square footage has been reduced by 85,600 square feet. The mix of uses within the development has also been adjusted slightly with a reduction in the amount of commercial square footage from 1,500,500 to 1,336,500, an increase in retail square footage from 47,000 to 60,000, and an increase in residential square footage from 194,600 to 260,000. The residential portion of the project will include 284 residential units. The project also provides approximately 1.3 acres of publicly accessible, landscaped space. Per the filing, the development team expects work on the phased project to start with 505 Dot Ave, a 487K Sf life science/retail building, and then proceed in a clockwise direction.
