Zoning Process Progresses for Jamaica Mixed-Use Building
A private application for 185-17 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica, Queens is currently in review by the City Planning Commission. The application requests zoning map and text amendments to facilitate an 8-story, mixed-use building. The 66,584 sqft development would contain 48 residential units and 4,423 sqft of retail space. Approximately 12-units would be dedicated to affordable housing. If approved by the City Planning Commission, the application will be passed over to the City Council for review. Pending their decision, it would then be passed to the Mayor who would have the final say on the project.
