About The Ceinture

20 West 5th Street, South Boston, Boston, MA

Approved six-story residential development featuring 54 new modern luxury condominium residences including 1-bedrooms, 1-bedroom plus dens and 2-bedrooms ranging from approximately 700 to 1,300 square feet. Amenities at The Ceinture would include concierge service, a state-of-the-art gym, a club room, communal workspace, luxurious finishes throughout and a common roof deck with gas grills overlooking the Boston skyline. Select residences would have expansive private terraces with sweeping views. 41 parking spaces would be provided in a ground-level garage.

The Ceinture’s exterior would be comprised of several multifaceted materials, including bricks, glass fenestration, painted fiber cement trim & siding, and composite metal panels. Interior spaces would be designed to fully optimize exposure to natural lighting. Multiple eclectic retail shops and restaurants surround the 0.44-acre Ceinture project site, which is located a short walk to the Broadway MBTA Red Line Station, the South End, the Seaport District, and Downtown Boston.

The Ceinture name translates to belt in French as the project will sit where Colmar Belting Company (a division of Motion Industries) once stood.
