Facade Install is Underway for The Harvey (and Parts of it are Yellow)
Facade install has begun for The Harvey along Rutherford Avenue in the Hood Business Park in Charlestown. The building will be clad in terra-cotta colored rainscreen panels, including a sunny yellow on the interior courtyard facing section of the facade. Architects, CBT designed the building to both emulate the scale and proportion of the existing industrial structures along Rutherford Avenue while serving as a bold and inviting gateway to the revitalized Hood Business Park.
The six-story, 177-unit residential building will also feature 10,500 square feet of retail space and parking for 90 cars and 172 bicycles. Construction is expected to be complete later this year.

Ground broken on 177 apartments in Sullivan Square
A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday morning for 480 Rutherford Avenue, an upcoming 177-unit apartment building located in Charlestown’s Sullivan Square. 480 Rutherford Avenue will contain studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom residences, 23 of which will be affordable. The LEED Platinum-certifiable 480 Rutherford Avenue will be the first residential building at Hood Park, a 20-acre development permitted for over 1.1 million square feet of new construction. “Expanding upon the success of the commercial redevelopment of Hood Park, we are excited to bring a residential component to the project,” said Chris Kaneb, manager of project developer Hood Park LLC. “It will undoubtedly bring a 24/7 vibrancy to the park, achieving our organization’s long-range vision for a complete, mixed use transformation." Completion of 480 Rutherford Avenue is anticipated in 2019. The building is located steps from the MBTA Orange Line and a short drive to Downtown Boston.

Located in Charlestown's Sullivan Square, the $45 million project will construct a new building containing 177 apartments. Completion of 480 Rutherford Avenue is anticipated in 2019.
Catamount Management Corporation, owner of Hood Business Park in Charlestown's Sullivan Square, has filed a Notice of Project Change (NPC) and a Planned Development Area Development Plan (PDA) with the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) proposing to construct a six-story mixed-use building at 480 Rutherford Avenue in Sullivan Square containing 177 residential apartments and 10,500 square feet of ground-floor retail. An unbuilt 143,255 square foot office building was approved at 480 Rutherford Avenue in 2008. The developer anticipates completion of the proposed mixed-use building in 2019.
