About 780 American Legion Highway
Proposed mixed-use redevelopment of the 2.58-acre Home for Little Wanderer's property into housing, office space, and clinical facilities. The 186,559 square-foot development would construct two buildings, including a 62,953 square-foot mixed-use building (clinical/supported housing) and a 123,606 square-foot multifamily residential structure.
Across the buildings would be a total of 93 units of market-rate and workforce rental units, and owner-occupied townhouse condominium units and 22 units of supported housing for youth aging out of the State’s foster care system. The buildings would also contain new office space for the Home for Little Wanderers and new clinical facilities for the Dimock Street Neighborhood Health Center.
133 covered and surface parking spaces would be provided on-site. The existing 32,308-square-foot building home to the Home for Little Wanderers would be demolished. The project will be sequentially built over three to four years and involve the initial construction of the mixed-use clinical facility and affordable residences, followed by relocating the existing HFLW building into the new clinical facility, and the demolition and construction of the 93 new multi-family units.
