About Cambridge Crossing
The 43-acre, 4.5-million-square-foot transit-oriented mixed-use development is located at the intersection of Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston and is integrated into the life science and technology hotbed that is Kendall Square. Upon completion, Cambridge Crossing will feature 2.1 million square feet of state-of-the-art science and technology office space, 2.4 million square feet of residential space with 2,400 residential units, in addition to the already existing 2,500 units, and 100,000 square feet of retail, presenting a strong headquarters opportunity.
Cambridge Crossing is technology and sustainability-focused and is expected to have LEED SITES, WELL Community and Envision certifications as well as LEED certifications for all buildings plus has been designated with a ‘Neighborhood’ Wired Score Certification, being the first in New England and one of only two sites in the U.S. This new innovative neighborhood will feature over 11 acres of urban green space and will feature footpaths and protected bike lanes plus access from two MBTA stops, the Lechmere green line and the Community College Orange line. In addition, Cambridge Crossing is located minutes from Interstates Route 93 and is just a few miles to Logan International Airport. The first building at Cambridge Crossing, Parcel JK, a 430,000-square-foot science and technology building with ground floor retail totaling 15,000 square feet, is expected to be ready for occupancy in the fourth quarter of 2019 and will be the new Philips North American Innovation Center. Parcels G & H, totaling approximately 900,000 square foot, have begun construction and will be occupied by Sanofi in 2021.
