Description
Existing conditions have 4 curb cuts (three off of Virginia Avenue NW and one off of I (Eye) Street NW). The eastern most existing curb cut along Virginia Avenue will be closed and the rest along Virginia Avenue NW and I (Eye) Street NW are to remain and be reused. 8 new street trees and tree pits will be installed along the curb line. A new 6' wide sidewalk will be installed behind the new tree pits. 3 new DDOT standard bike racks are proposed in public space. New curb and gutter will be installed in between the existing to remain driveway entrances along Virginia Avenue NW. Two new building overhangs (floors above 2nd and floors above 3rd) along Virginia Avenue NW (applied for under separate permit per approval conditions stated in PSC letter from May 25, 2017) are planned to project approximately 4' and 10' past the property the line. There are also 5 planter boxes proposed along Virginia Avenue NW.
