Omni acquired the 126,348 square foot property in December 2008 with financing provided by the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency & Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development through low-income housing tax credits, tax-exempt bonds and secondary financing. The project took over the current Project Base Section 8 (HAP) contract at closing and extended it for 20 years.
A $4.8 million rehabilitation of the property was completed in 2009. The three-story development was constructed in 1970 and features 138 units in total (66 2-bedroom and 72 3-bedroom apartments). Located in Boston's Roslindale neighborhood, the property sits a short distance from Hyde Park Ave.
