Beacon Communities Services has won approval for the preservation and rehabilitation of the Boston Housing Authority’s Lenox Apartments housing development located at 136 Lenox Street in Lower Roxbury. The Lenox Apartments complex is comprised of 285 units across twelve (12) three-story walk-up buildings, originally built in 1939.
The Project will improve the visual quality of the development through restoration and repair or upgrades to the exterior masonry, windows, and roofs as well as maintenance and improvements to the open space and landscaping on site. Additionally, there will be extensive improvements to the interiors of the buildings to improve the quality of life for the residents.e for the residents
