The project will revitalize a non-conforming and outdated industrial project site in a residential section of the East Boston neighborhood, with a vibrant mixed-use development of approximately 125,000 gross square feet.
The upcoming project will include 145 residential apartment units, 2,000 square feet of live/workspace on the first floor of the building to help activate the street and provide artist live/work lofts, and 3,200 square feet of ground-floor retail space plus amenity, lobby, circulation, and accompanying storage spaces, served by a garage that can accommodate up to 61 parking spaces utilizing stackers, in a new 4-5 story building along Bremen Street of varying heights with related upgrades in public realm improvements including pedestrian and vehicular access, landscaping and streetscape design.
Additionally, public realm improvements will be made including pedestrian and vehicular access, as well as landscaping and streetscape design. The scope and scale of the residential program is also intended to further the residential policy goals of Boston Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s 2030 Housing Plan.
