The new WBUR CitySpace, designed by CambridgeSeven, is a technologically advanced, multi-media, multi-purpose convening/performance space, and broadcast studio. Located at Boston University's campus on Commonwealth Avenue, the insertion of CitySpace at street level gives WBUR a highly visible and important venue for connecting Bostonians and their neighbors. By hosting debates, forums, readings, poetry slams, lectures, and artistic performances, this new performance hub has a goal of enriching the lives of Boston locals both socially and culturally.
This inviting, flexible, comfortable and vibrant multipurpose convening space is accessible via public transportation, includes seating for 270, and injects a new level of vibrancy and excitement into the wide range communities served by the station.
