Alta Union House is a new high-end apartment project in downtown Framingham from Wood Partners.
The project features 196 apartments and a new parking garage to the corner bounded by Concord, Howard, and Kendall streets.
The development opened in the fall of 2019 and became the first major transit-oriented development to spring up in the vicinity of Framingham’s downtown commuter rail station.
Offering amenities such as a fitness center, lounge, and pool, the project has been hailed as a major coup by city officials, who targeted the area around the train station for new housing. To help get the project off the ground, residents agreed last year to grant Wood Partners subsidies worth $5.9 million through a 15-year tax increment financing agreement.
