About Greentown Labs
444 Somerville Ave, Somerville, MA
Greentown Labs 50,000 sf expansion into historic 444 Somerville Avenue, across the street from their original location. The space was previously occupied by an auto body repair and paint shop, but in the 1850s it was home to a company that produced the nation’s first seamless copper and bronze tubing in use at the highest technological innovation of the time: steam engines.
CBI Consultants worked with Architect Silverman Trykowski on structural engineering for the interior expansion.
