Framing Nearing Completion at 60 Cross Street East in Somerville

Framing is wrapping up on the 3 story building located at 60 Cross Street in East Somerville.  The upcoming project will feature 75 residential units and is just minutes away from both Sullivan and Union Squares. Plans call for a private courtyard with a pool in the center of the property.

Porter Square Hotel

New boutique hotel now open in Cambridge's Porter Square


The 65-suite Porter Square Hotel, a newly built boutique hotel in the heart of Porter Square, is now open. The Porter Square Hotel is equipped with state-of-the-art amenities including an outdoor rooftop garden and a rooftop fitness area. A new steakhouse, Porter House Grill, will open on the Porter Square Hotel's ground floor in Spring 2017, as will a signature patio and garden area at the hotel's rear. 60 Cross Street East

New developer for 75-unit residential building on East Somerville Stop and Shop site


Young Construction, a local real estate developer and general contractor, acquired a section of the East Somerville Stop and Shop's surface parking lot last Friday, June 24th, 2016 for $4.25 million as recorded in the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds. The section acquired is a 61,738 square foot parcel known as 60-70 East Cross Street. A three-story, 75-unit residential building designed by Cube3 Studio is approved for construction on the parcel. Young Construction has indicated on its website that construction of the project is starting.

Criterion Development Partners, the parcel's seller, guided the 75-unit building through approval. An initial deed was also recorded Friday transferring ownership of the parcel from The Stop and Shop Supermarket Company to Criterion Development Partners for $2.78 million as recorded in the Middlesex South Registry of Deeds.
