East Boston apartment development overlooking Constitution Beach secures building permit An East Boston apartment development at 917 Bennington Street overlooking Constitution Beach and Boston Harbor has secured a building permit, and is expected to start construction in the coming months. Approved by the City of Boston in 2013, the $10 million development will construct a five-story building featuring 42 apartment residences including studios, one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, as well as a 45-space vehicle parking garage. The project site is currently vacant, and is the former site of a funeral home that was recently demolished.
