Basis Technology Buys Commercial Condo in Somerville Development
Basis Technology has purchased commercial space at 1060 Broadway in Somerville for $8,008,504. The space is part of the Powder House school redevelopment project currently under construction which will include a total of 11,300 square feet of commercial space and 48 apartments. The Powder House development will also host a variety of public space elements including a lawn and amphitheater and community gardens.

Construction Continues on Phase 2 of Packard Crossing
Foundation work is now advancing for Phase Two of Packard Crossing in Allston, metal framing is being laid for cement pouring. The two-building project will include a total of 114 apartments along with 3,050 square feet of retail space. Resident amenities will include a landscaped roof deck and a fitness center.

Interior Finishing Ongoing for Mixed-Use Project in Somerville
Interior finish work is ongoing for the redevelopment of the Powder House Community School in Somerville. This adaptive re-use project will create 28 market-rate units, 8 artist live-work units and 12 senior housing units. The project will also include a maker space, a flexible community hub with an outdoor amphitheater, commercial space, and a public park.

The new building, which has restored and integrated the existing Victorian house on the site, includes 38 apartments along with 39 parking spaces. Phase Two of the project, for which foundation was underway before the construction pause will include another 76 apartments, along with 3,050 square feet of ground-floor retail and a 175 space parking garage.

Interior Finishing Underway for Parcel K in the Seaport
Interior finishing is underway for both Ora Seaport & the Hyatt Place hotel as part of the Parcel K development in the Seaport. The Hyatt Place hotel will feature 294 rooms plus a rooftop gym, and 4,000 square feet of meeting and event space. Next door Ora Seaport, will feature 304 luxury apartments complete with a rooftop pool, landscaped courtyard, and gym and wellness center. A one-level underground parking garage at the project will have the capacity for approximately 450 cars. Construction is expected to wrap up this spring.

Work Ongoing for Facade Replacement at The Haynes House
Construction is ongoing for the renovation of the Haynes House in Roxbury, originally built in 1974. The renovation plan will generally include significant building envelope improvements with the demolition and replacement of the building’s exterior masonry facade, 100% window replacement, and improved accessible front and rear entrances. It also includes required life safety system upgrades, energy efficiency enhancements, new accessible units, and selective unit and common area upgrades. The 7-story building features 131 affordable family rental apartments.
