230+ Live/Work Units Planned for Downtown DC Office Conversion
Plans are under review for the redevelopment of the office building at 700 11th St. NW in Downtown DC. The existing 12-story office building would be converted to 236 hybrid live/work units. The proposed concept would retain the existing building and retrofit it for residential units that also provide an opportunity for use as offices. Roughly 9,500 square feet of retail would also be included in the project. The existing building was constructed in 1991 and includes a penthouse that is largely dedicated to mechanical use. The development team plans to introduce new amenity space to the penthouse area.
