70+ Unit Project Proposed in Melrose
Plans are under review for the redevelopment of an underused parking lot adjacent to an MBTA Commuter Rail station at 164 Essex Street in Melrose. The new project would include 76-unit mixed-income apartments, a mix of studio, 1, 2 & 3 bedrooms. In-building amenities will include garage parking for vehicles and bicycles, a mail room and common exterior terrace space on the top floor of the building. Outdoor amenities will include tables, a fire pit/grill area, and a dog walk area.
