Akelius Acquires Fairfax Multifamily for $106M
Akelius has acquired Dwell Vienna Metro Apartments in Fairfax, VA for $106M. The 251 unit multifamily community was constructed in 2007 and features a mix of studio, 1, and 2 bedroom homes. The property last traded for $82.6M in August 2011. Akelius now owns 1,300 apartments across five properties in Northern Virginia, and 2,400 units in the Washington region and aims to grow to 5,000 apartments in Washington within two years.
